Fast-Tag is a mobile app concept I developed for Auckland public transportation. This app allows you to link your current Hop card for Tag in and Tag off on any Auckland public transport, top up your card in seconds, view your travel transaction history, and perform other travel card functions.
Problem
People often lose their cards while traveling and forget to take them with them. Moreover, there are a number of other concerns. Passengers cannot top up their travel cards instantly using the existing transport application.
Solution
By using the Fast Tag app, Aucklanders will be able to pay their public transportation fares without the need to scan their transportation cards. Passengers can install the Fast Tag app on their smartphones and link their existing hop cards to the app in order to tag on and off with their smartphones.
